About Blog and Elaine

Hi there and welcome to this blog

The Diamond Effect® is an approach to learning and development designed for scientists and engineers.  The blog shares insights, thoughts, reviews and opinions to help spark some ideas or tickle your brain.

THE DIAMOND EFFECT® has 4 key elements which…
Creativity: nurture innate talents and expand their scope
Caring: foster self-awareness and understanding of others
Communities: help harness the benefits of people power
Communication: get to the heart of impact and reach

As to me, well…   I have been helping technical companies and professionals since my early years as an industrial chemist for multinational technical textile manufacturer, Freudenberg Nonwovens. And it was while working in product and process development that I was truly bitten by the business leadership bug.

What followed was a career that saw me move into technical management, senior business management and board-level roles, lead multi-functional teams, create new markets, increase sales and deliver business turnaround.

Since founding EH Enterprises and creating The Diamond Effect® I now use my hands-on experience and real-life talent development expertise to champion and improve learning and development opportunities for scientists and engineers.

My mission is…

To enable scientists and engineers expand their contribution to the global economy by helping them appreciate and develop their non-technical skills and expertise.

I hope you enjoy reading.
