I’m sure you agree with me that effective communication is an important aspect of all our personal and professional lives every day.
So when I saw June was Effective Communications Month – yes, there is such a thing – I had a mini Jekyll and Hyde moment.
Hyde-esque… “Effective Communication Month?! That stuff’s important every day not just for one month. Whatever next? Purple socks month?!!!”
Jekyll-esque… “Oooh a celebration of the importance of effective communication. What about doing something on the Career Energiser Blog to celebrate its importance too?”
One wry smile and a cup of tea later, I put my thinking cap on.
Now it’s fair to say we’re talking about a large subject area with plenty of angles to explore. This of course brings a rich seam of content possibilites, And…
… an overload of content possibility choices.
It was time for some constraints.
My 3 questions were…

What causes people angst?
Do I have varied experience?
Can I add value for others?
And as if by magic, the answer appeared.
The focus of my blogging celebration is – drum roll – presenting and presentation skills.
