A Poem of Thanks

Each year I have a special theme;
The main purpose of the year.
2018’s was to connect
With people far and near.

As I set off on my mission
I didn’t know where it’d go.
All I knew was reaching out
Would help my community grow.

I ‘met’ lots of really great people
Online and face-to-face.
Helpful, thoughtful people
Full of heart and soul and good grace.

I also spent time nurturing
My valued relationships too.
Extending my community is important
But its not all about the new.

So as we approach the year end
I’m writing this to say
Thank you so much to everyone
Who I’ve engaged with along the way.

Your insight, support and spirit
Have inspired me and helped me grow.
Our conversations were a pleasure.
You truly are a privilege to know.

Good luck with all your adventures
Whatever they may be.

With your friends and family.
