There’s a strange phenomenon which can happen when you start the next new chapter of your professional story…
… Idealising The Past (ITP)
The newness; the skewed notion that you are starting again, can conjure up a whole assortment of mixed emotions.
It’s natural. You are bound to have a reaction to change. Even if you initiated it and it’s what you want.
Being aware of ITP and approaching it with good-natured scepticism is a healthy stance to adopt.

Are you really missing the things you are getting nostalgic about?

Was it honestly as fantastic as you remember?
Even though new beginnings are partly possible because of what has happened in the past, don’t let ITP take away from the fantastic new phase of your career adventure.
