Inspire Yourself Today

Multiple priorities, technical and team demands, constant decision making can sometimes be all consuming.  Day-to-day pressures can often stop us from thinking more creatively about the challenges we face.

One way to break the cycle and clear our heads is to expose ourselves to some wonderful inspiration injections.

If you do this already; brilliant.  If you don’t, it’s never too late to start.

Here are three inspiration injections that continue to help me:

peopleStories:  Meeting people and listening to their stories and experiences can often help put things in perspective.  Their thoughts, enthusiasm and insights can be truly inspiring.  Everyone has a story to tell.  We can learn so much from each other… if we take the time to listen.

in the zoneCuriosity:  Feeling fascination every day and fuelling our curiosity are key to finding more creative solutions and taking a bigger picture view.  Taking my mind away from current challenges by exploring other areas or checking out what’s happening elsewhere help spark ideas and lead to the answers I seek.

changeLocation:  Whenever I feel really stuck or can’t find the solution I’m looking for; whenever my creative juices aren’t flowing like they should I change location.  This might be by going for a walk; it might be by going to a cafe or different room.  This change in my environment provides a new set of stimuli, refreshes my brain and gets me back on track.

There are many ways to get an inspiration injection and of course it varies from person to person.  If you have some that you’d like to share I’d love to hear from you.
